Plovdiv Historical Forum Journal aims to: publish and promote the achievements and the latest scientific research of established and young scientists; to assist in increasing research activity in the field of history, archeology, archiving, source studies, numismatics, epigraphy and other special historical disciplines; to establish on its pages both the application of the traditional methods of historical, archeological and archival research, as well as the interdisciplinary approaches in the search for objectivity, reliability and complexity in the reconstruction of the historical past. The journal will strive to present current scientific discussions, personal presentations of scholars and their original research, reviews of new scientific papers, information on scientific events related to the activities of the Department of History and Archeology at Faculty of History and Philosophy in Plovdiv University and our partner organizations. Among the priorities of the magazine are the following: high level of science; respect for the copyright and scientific rights of researchers; ethical rules for scientific and publishing activities. Conceived as a body of historical science at Plovdiv University “Paisii Hilendarski”, the journal hopes to go beyond the institutional boundaries of its academic home and to establish itself nationally and in the long run internationally, as a recognizable and authoritative scientific publication.
